You can’t make the final every year!

Liverpool crashed out of Europe tonight, but let’s face it, they’ve been to the last two finals, they’re the reigning champions, holders of the Super Cup and Club World Cup. You cannot keep winning them all and the league is the one that matters the most.

Liverpool have finally won a Champions League group match away from home. The last time that happened was two years and one week ago against the mighty NK Maribor of Slovenia. They won 7-0 that night; they won 4-1 in Genk last night.

Sometimes in a season you need luck, and sometimes you need a lot of goals. Liverpool had both this past week. Some luck in the league to keep their perfect record, and goals in the Champions League to get their first victory.
